BASIC FUNCTIONS: Employee will ensure document accountability for jet engine parts, components, controls, sub-assemblies, support equipment tooling, and complete engines to meet audit and inventory requirements. Technician will perform periodic inspections on shop equipment, monitor and control calibration of tooling/equipment, consumable material usage, hazardous waste disposal, and other various programs. Must be flexible to work any shift based on business needs.Typical Duties:
Ensure maintenance requisition records and traceability for jet engine parts, components, controls, sub-assemblies, and engines are completed to meet internal and external customer audit and inspection requirements.
Complete and maintain required documentation in accordance with established procedures, including but not limited to work orders, tools, equipment, and deficiency reports.
Maintain 100% accountability for all tools and hardware within the bond room.
Understand the Pratt and Whitney Quality policies to ensure workmanship meets requirements and FOD controls are implemented and followed.
Verify part numbers, serial numbers, and quantities for all incoming shipments and incorporate associated data into SAP.
Manage support equipment calibration for government property and locally procured items.
Generate outgoing shipment documentation which includes bill of laden, materials manifestation, and DD1149.
Conduct periodic cycle counts to verify the accuracy of material inventory.
1+ years’ experience as a bond room technician with emphasis on inventory control.
Ability to lift heavy objects are required.
Strong communication skills are required.
Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends or rotate to an alternate shift when required.
Ability to use computer - Microsoft Office Package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and interactive maintenance computer systems.
This position requires an individual who is detail oriented and performs quality work with accuracy.
Ability to operate overhead hoists, hand trucks, pick-up truck and stacker equipment is desired.
Must be able to obtain any required security clearances within 12 months and maintain thereafter.
Team player who works well with others.
2+ years of experience performing inventory control.
Experience in coordinating shipments and fulfill shipment order requests.
Current Department of Defense secret security clearance.
High School Education or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Some college preferred.
