JPMorgan Chase JPM Payments - Merchant Services - Relationship Manager - Associate in Fort Worth, Texas

This role will be an associate level Relationship Manager reporting to the Executive Director of the TMT/FIG/RL sector within Merchant Services. This individual will primarily be responsible to work with senior Payment Service Managers (PSMs) in support of a portfolio of clients operating in locations throughout North America. The individual will be required to collaborate closely with senior PSMs and partner with the firm-wide coverage team to deliver our Wholesale Payments proposition. The individual will be accountable for maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers both within client relationships as well as internal partners. The applicant will be coached and supported to meet their objectives which will be shared and reviewed regularly as part of their ongoing development. The JP Morgan Merchant Services' profitability goals are achieved through strategic client management, re-contracting of existing business and identification, pursuit and acquisition of incremental business within the designated portfolio. The ideal candidate has experience in relationship management, a consultative skill set and a desire to learn.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support senior PSMs in their strategic management of a portfolio of TMT/FIG/RL clients executing their needs via both written and verbal communication in a controlled manner.

  • Collaborate with wider firm coverage and support teams to meet business objectives and maintain client satisfaction.

  • Acts as a principal point of contact to internal partners, and as a contact for the client relationship on behalf of Merchant Services

  • Support senior PSMs in creating and delivering quarterly business reviews, providing compelling financial and market analysis to support proposals to expand business.

  • Support PSM leaders on key initiatives which support the busines and the PSM team


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; MBA desired

  • Demonstrated ability to grow and retain client relationships through effective use of relationship management and client consulting skills

  • 2+ years of payment industry experience

  • Strong MS Office Suite skill set with a high emphasis in Excel and other business related database programs i.e. Salesforce

  • Demonstrated ability to work across cultures with internal teams and external clients

  • Strong organizational and presentation skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Travel required
