Insight Global Mechanical Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas

Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the installation of mechanical systems in various construction projects. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

 Design and develop mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.

 Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.

 Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.

 Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems into overall project designs.

 Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system simulations to optimize performance and efficiency.

 Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and material selections.

 Provide technical support during the construction phase, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.

 Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure innovative and efficient designs.

 Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

 Minimum of five years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a design-build environment.

 Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).

 Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.

 Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. null
