We are looking for an accomplished Senior Citrix VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) Engineer to join our high-performing and dynamic team helping deliver a worldclass Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktop experience to our global community.
What you’ll be doing:
Design, install, configure, and maintain Citrix VDI solutions, including Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktop Service using Machine Creation Services.
Maintain a strong security posture for our Citrix VDI platform, working with our Information Security team applying regularly scheduled security updates and resolving vulnerabilities.
Leverage cloud-native tools including Terraform, Packer and Jenkins to automate and deploy Citrix VDI systems as required.
Use EG Innovations and Citrix Director output to proactively monitor the platform help improve performance, system availability, and manage capacity needs for Citrix VDI systems and applications.
Work with our customers, providing technical support, education, and documentation to help ensure a good user experience.
Serve as a mentor to our offshore support team, using your experience and education to conduct routine training sessions as needed.
Ensure compliance with corporate security policies and standards.
Create documentation for the Citrix VDI environment as needed.
Research and evaluate technology trends in the marketplace, identify ways to innovate and enhance our desktop offering.
What you bring to the table:
Solid Citrix system engineering experience including scripting.
Knowledge of working in the Cloud
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and through writing.
Ability to multitask, work both independently and in a team setting.
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (XenApp and XenDesktop) required.
Experience with PowerShell scripting required.
Knowledge of Azure features including Azure Portal, Storage Explorer, NSGs and Resource Groups.
Strong communication skills.
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop helpful
Experience with cloud-native tools including Terraform, Packer, Jenkins preferred.
Experience with server virtualization including VMware and Hyper-V preferred.
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, Windows Server operating systems preferred.
