Job Overview:
Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, the Project Manager plays a pivotal role in driving organizational success at National Lutheran Communities & Services (NLCS). This dynamic position is responsible for the seamless planning, execution, and delivery of critical projects that align with our strategic objectives. The Project Manager will spearhead project initiatives from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to strict deadlines and budget constraints. They will define and articulate project objectives, implement rigorous quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle, and strategically allocate resources to orchestrate the efforts of cross-functional team members, third-party contractors, and consultants. Additionally, they will serve as a key liaison, providing comprehensive status updates on corporate projects that directly support the NLCS strategic plan to senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, aligning with organizational goals
Prepare and deliver presentations and reports for leadership and board meetings
Manage project intake, approval, and coordination across departments
Delegate tasks, provide guidance, and ensure accountability within the team
Communicate project expectations and updates to stakeholders effectively
Track project progress, analyze results, and proactively address issues
Manage project resources, including budget and staffing needs
Conduct post-project evaluations and implement process improvements
Build and maintain business relationships to ensure project success
Assist with meeting facilitation and other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or related field
2 years’ direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
Strong familiarity with project management software
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships, including upper management, clients and cross-functional teams
Adept at conflict resolution and maintaining team cohesion
Proficiency in conducting project-related research and applying new technologies
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively under pressure
Strong customer focus with the ability to anticipate and meet client needs effectively
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing project landscapes
Proven ability to persuade, encourage, and motivate team members and stakeholder
Navigates complex project environments with ease, understanding different stakeholders' needs and building strong relationships
Displays tenacity and a results-driven approach to project completion

Job Type: Full-time
Work Environment: Hybrid setting, must be in a commutable distance of our Frederick office (50 mile radius). Time onsite can vary between office, communities and remote locations.
Salary range: $85,000 - 105,000 annually, with final offer reflecting the candidate's demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and professional background.
