Position Summary:

The Equipment Maintenance Technician's (EMT) sets up new jobs as needed, performs repairs, adjustments, and daily maintenance on some or all the machines used for producing the mail. The EMT troubleshoots mechanical and operational problems that arise with numerous types of production equipment. Could also help with any task related to operating the equipment to produce mail.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Works with the Production and Maintenance team on repairs, adjustments, and daily maintenance of all machines used to produce mail.
• Troubleshoots machines to help operators achieve optimal performance.
• Sets up all machines and completes quality procedures for each job.
• Trains operators on the proper use of tools and materials.
• Works with Mailing Supervisors to identify underperforming machines.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Complete additional tasks as assigned by Maintenance Manager
• Operate pallet jacks to move supplies, inventory, etc. in support of a safe work environment
• Demonstrate behavior consistent with DMS Values and Code of Conduct
• Always adhere to all DMS policies and procedures
• Learn and adhere to all Information Technology and data security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures
• Complete all required compliance training on time and in good faith

Requirements:

• Basic Computer skills
• At least two years' relevant experience
• Ability to perform basic mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 10:30p-6:30a or Monday - Friday 2:30p-10:30p
