Located 30 miles north of downtown Dallas, Omni PGA Frisco Resort is the largest resort currently in development in the country. Opening spring 2023, the resort will feature 500 guest rooms and suites, 10 four-bedroom ranch houses, three pools, including an adults-only rooftop infinity pool, a destination spa, Lounge by Top Golf, and over 127,000-square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. An expansive retail and entertainment district will feature dining, shopping and an outdoor stage set to be activated for concerts and outdoor programming. The Resort will become a leading destination for golf providing an unparalleled experience for those who are advanced players, new to the game, and everything in between. The resort will offer 46 holes of golf designed by Beau Welling and Gil Hanse, including two 18-hole championship golf courses, a lighted 10-hole short course, and a lighted two-acre putting green.

Job Description

The Omni PGA Frisco Resort is the preeminent resort in North Texas. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join as theDirector of Food and Beverage | Entertainment District and become a part of one of the most dynamic and comprehensive resorts in the country.

This candidate will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the District Food and Beverage division functions in accordance with club and Omni standards. He/She will oversee and direct the operation of the restaurants, distict banquet functions, bars and on-course Food and Beverage service.

Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Outlet Managers and the Executive Chef, create new and attractive menu items designed to represent current culinary trends and constantly exceed customer expectations.

  • Continuously evaluate the performance of the food and beverage team. Plan and coordinate training and development opportunities to ensure succession planning within the department and division.

  • Physically inspect all food and beverage operations on a regular basis; make recommendations to department heads for areas of improvement; follow through on areas of concern.

  • Develop monthly forecast and annual budget; coordinate effective control of food and beverage costs, payroll and direct expenses.

  • Ensure that KRA process is implemented and achieved for all F&B Management positions with the club operations area.

  • Ensure that sanitation standards are met (Corporate Standards and Local Health Code Requirements).

  • Know and adhere to all Federal and State liquor liability laws.

  • Attend daily, weekly and monthly meetings.

  • Relay information about upcoming events to staff under his/her supervision. Relay company policy and procedures to staff under his/her supervision

  • Supply information about department capabilities and programs to other departments and clients or potential clients

  • Respond to needs and requests of guests and potential guests

  • Ensure that implementation and maintenance of standards of food, beverage and service quality are commensurate with a first-class resort

  • Develop workable systems for inventory, receiving and product utilization (product cost)

  • Create a comfortable atmosphere to encourage committed and loyal employees

  • Oversee hiring and training programs for food and beverage personnel

  • Responsible for corrective action in regards to unsatisfactory performance

  • Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by Resort Manager

  • Assist in other departments as needed

  • Promote Omni Culture

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years experience as a food and beverage leader in a luxury hotel.

  • Must have a proven track record of motivating managers and associates to meet and exceed goals and to provide the highest quality experience for our guests.

  • Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, checkbook management, productivity, inventory controls, P&L analysis, food and beverage cost controls.

  • Strong computer and technical skills to include Micros and on-line purchasing systems.

  • Ability to track and analyze department turnover trends with demonstrated ability to identify and implement corrective action steps if necessary.

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop growing talent for the company.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle progressive discipline/coaching discussions.

  • Proven ability to engage associates at all levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with Sales and Catering leadership.

  • This individual must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high profile events.

  • Must meet standards of appearance.

  • Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.

  • Candidate must have extensive hands-on food and beverage knowledge and experience including multiple outlets, banquets, and P&L responsibilities.
