Ardent Mills LLC Maintenance Technician III - 77547 in Galena Park, Texas

This is a Temp-to-Hire position

Your role:

As Maintenance Technician III, you will be responsible for planning the routine maintenance at the facility.

You will identify opportunities and make recommendations to streamline day-to-day work processes.

You will also implement new work procedures to support the change process.

You will provide leadership to the maintenance crew.

This role will ensure the day-to-day execution of each of the areas in maintenance.

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain work plans.
  • Perform maintenance tasks per work orders assigned.
  • Understand how to work safely and speak up when you are not able to work safely.
  • Possess the basic knowledge of plant equipment that is required to perform preventative maintenance. PM will include lubrication of bearing, checking oil in hear reducers, changing oil in gear reducers, replacing bearings etc.
  • Learn and implement predictive technologies into Newtons preventative maintenance work plans. For example, use of IR, vibration analysis, UE technology, etc.
  • Demonstrate proficiency on computer, especially with emails. (Microsoft Excel and Microsoft word)
  • Maintain inventories utilizing computerized maintenance management system.
  • Manage and promote plant safety by incorporating safety plans, hazards, and precautions into daily planning activities.
  • Update and maintain equipment history records.
  • Responsible for ordering, receiving, and shipping spare parts.
  • Track and provide meaningful measures to improve efficiency.
  • Develop strategies for maintenance of all plant equipment and eliminate failures through root cause analysis and reliability centered maintenance activities.
  • Build relationships with suppliers, contractors, and technical service providers.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, safety standards, and sanitation practices.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Bachelors degree with 2-5 years or 4 to 8 years of experience in Maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance process, activities, and maintenance management system.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable Predictive and Preventative Maintenance technologies.
  • Understanding of operating context of site assets / process systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance safety practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and lead others to work as a team.
