Job Description
As a Team Leader, the employee will provide supervisory, administrative and communication support to staff assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
TheTeamLeaderisexpectedtofunctionasamemberoftheteamwithregardtoroutineassignmentswhilealsoperforming specialassignmentsandotherdutiesasrequested.
Possessesabilitytoperformanytaskwithinteam.
TheTeamLeadersisresponsibleforactingasaresourceforinformationtoallteammembersaswellasinquiresfromotherareas.
Responsible forescalating issuesrelatedtoprocess improvementsorother issues.
Assistssupervisorwithreportingandtesting,includingproductivityreportingandsystemtesting.
Quality Assuranceshouldbeconductedonaroutinebasiswithfeedbackanddocumentationgiventothesupervisor.
BasedonQAofnewemployees,makesarecommendationtosupervisoras towhennewemployeeisreadytoworkindependently.
Providetrainingtoteam membersasnecessary.
Assistssupervisorwiththedevelopmentofpolicies andprocedures,includingteamprocedure manual.
OnoccasiontheTeamLeaderwillberequiredtoattendmeetingseitherwithoronbehalfofthesupervisor.ItisexpectedtheTeamLeaderwouldrepresentthedepartmentprofessionally,participatein discussionand bewellpreparedregardingthetopic.
Intheeventofthesupervisor’sabsence,theTeamLeadermaybeaskedtoprovidesupervisorysupport.
Specialassignmentsasrequested.
RepresentsthedepartmentandtheUniversityinaprofessionalmanneratalltimes.Thiswillinvolvedetailedandprofessionalverbalandwrittencommunicationwithphysicians,patients,administrationandothermanagementpersonnel,inatimelymanner.
InteractswithUTMBadministrationwhenquestionsorissuesarise.
Practiceseffectivetimemanagementandalwaysdemonstratesacceptableproductivityandmeetsdepartmentaccountaccuracystandards.
Successfullycompletesdepartmentaltrainingcoursesandannualrefresher courses.
StrictcompliancewithregardtowrittenpoliciesandproceduresforUTMBaswellasRCMandadherencetoallrequiredstandardsanddeadlines.
Authorizesphysicianchargesandapprovesjournalvoucherswithinspecified limits.
Salary Range:
Actual salary commensurate with experience.
