HVAC Installation Mechanic $20/hr
Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout and specifications of HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to plan and execute HVAC installation projects.
- Install and connect components, such as compressors, motors, ducts, and pipes, ensuring proper functionality.
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting to identify and address any issues in the installation process.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations during installation activities.
- Provide guidance and training to junior installation technicians as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used, work completed, and any modifications to the original project plan.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide information about the installed HVAC systems.
Skills Required:
- Proficient in HVAC system installation, assembly, and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning components and systems.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools for installation tasks.
- Attention to detail and precision in connecting and securing components.
- Problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving installation issues.
- Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in various environments and conditions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of HVAC technical training or apprenticeship program.
- Relevant HVAC certifications are advantageous.
- Previous experience in HVAC system installation.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
