This position will be stationed in Germantown, MD.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resource Assistant performs a variety of administrative duties relating to the recruiting, onboarding, and support of employees by preparing and processing various documentation, responding to general inquiries, and coordinating activities relating to specific areas of employee assignment both CONUS and OCONUS.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Assists the Human Resources Manager in the daily functions of the Human Resources Department including but not limited to processing organizational files relating to compensation, benefits, leave, and recognition, as well as maintaining employee data in the HRIS, coordinating training and development, and assisting with open enrollment.
  • Facilitates the onboarding and offboarding processes for CONUS and OCONUS employees, including completing checklist items such as offer letters, new hire paperwork, and benefits enrollment.
  • Supports project management by attending and participating in meetings and relating action items to the VP and General Manager.
  • Assists recruiting efforts by collaborating schedules for meetings and interviews, issuing and collecting paperwork, scheduling testing, and coordinating the deployment process with customers and third-party vendors.
  • Maintains and produces standard reports on a regular basis including but not limited to the International Contract Tracker and employee Expense Reports.
  • Performs general office duties such as receiving and distributing online faxes, ordering supplies, and processing small mail shipments.

Minimum Requirements

  • Two to three years of general office administration, with basic Human Resources knowledge preferred

Desired Qualifications

  • Working professionals with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience will be given preference
  • Experience in Government Contracting and/or processing employees for international deployments is advantageous

Knowledge

  • Microsoft Office - Intermediate (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • General knowledge of the function of an HRIS system
