A Snapshot of Your Day
Will be performing the finishing of Cores for blades and
vanes. Removing rough edges and smoothing surfaces, using different tools such
as files, ultrasonic machines, and sandpaper. Checking for cracks and damaged
cores. Patching cores using an alumina-based material according to work
instructions in the Gibsonton Florida location.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Will participate in daily production meetings to review productionschedules and the priorities of work orders to be completed meeting dailytargets and priorities provided by team leads and members of management.
Will operate the company computer system, Mercury, to review andfollow work instructions and collaborate with other team members to ensureproduction quotas are achieved.
Performing acute care in handling the core to avoid surface damage,cracking, or overstressing and to acquire the desired finish.
Completing inspections visually and with a magnifying glass of coresfor defects, cracks, and tool marks to verify the completion of work.Working in sections and sequences.
Update and maintain necessary documentation in the system and on thework orders as needed.
Other duties assigned and cross-training as needed.
What You Bring
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Knowledge of or interest in industrial machinery and ability toperform basic math functions using the metric system.
Ability to read Engineering instructions and mechanical aptitude.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the UnitedStates without the need for current or future employer-sponsored workauthorization.
This position will require an export license from the Department ofCommerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State,Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license isa prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work withexport-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS (Internals):
Employee must be signed off on Tier 1 Core Finishing (DSC andCriteria)
Employee must be signed off on Tier 2 Core Finishing (DSC andCriteria)
Employee must be signed off to work on the Multiwall Advanced Cores.(DSC and Criteria)
Employee must maintain a 74% or greater productivity. (directdivided by paid time measurement for productivity). (evaluatedmonthly)
Employee must maintain less than 5% Scrap (evaluated monthly)
Employee must maintain less than 10% Rework (evaluated monthly)
