Job Description
* Compiles and generates journal entries and spreadsheets
* Verifies and records daily banking activity and performs month-end bank reconciliations
* Reconciles various balance sheet accounts to subsidiary ledgers or other documentation
* Documents work papers as needed, describing various accounting procedures, purpose, and description of the activity for re-performability
* Analyzes general ledger transactions and reports
* Prepares various financial reports and analyses
* Prepares assigned portions of the annual financial statements according to established accounting standards and within time constraints
* Provides guidance on fiscal procedures, processes, and systems to department end-users

Skills and Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting
* A minimum of one year of experience in accounting, financial analysis and reporting, and reconciling general ledger accounts
* Municipal government experience is HIGHLY PREFERRED
* Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) null
