IBM Designer - User Experience Design in Giza, Egypt

Introduction

The UX Designer will be responsible for designing intuitive, user-centered experiences across web and mobile platforms. The role involves conducting research, creating wireframes, prototypes, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and engaging user experiences.

Your role and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • User Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to understand user behaviors and needs.

  • Analyze research findings to create user personas, journey maps, and insights.

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and developers.

  • Information Architecture & Wireframing:

  • Define the information architecture for digital platforms to ensure logical navigation and ease of use.

  • Create low to high-fidelity wireframes and user flows that communicate design ideas effectively.

  • Prototyping & Interaction Design:

  • Develop interactive prototypes using tools like Figma or Adobe XD for user testing and presentations.

  • Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces that align with the brand and enhance user satisfaction.

  • User Testing & Validation:

  • Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on feedback.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine concepts and ensure design feasibility.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and UI designers to implement and iterate on designs.

  • Communicate design concepts and rationale clearly to various stakeholders.

  • Continuous Learning & Improvement:

  • Stay updated with design trends, tools, and best practices.

  • Advocate for user-centric design principles within the team.

Required technical and professional expertise

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of experience in UX design for web and mobile platforms.

  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.

  • Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, or front-end development is a plus.
