As a result of this growing workflow, Stantec are actively seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Water Business in the North Region in our Glasgow office. You will grow our reputation within the local community and Water Business, by providing mechanical design services for a range of projects.

You will be involved in the whole project life cycle from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support including site surveys and investigations. In line with our Communities of Practice approach, there are opportunities to work on a wide variety of projects including in water, wastewater, energy, infrastructure and environmental sectors.

Stantec provide a number of opportunities to learn and develop from colleagues across the whole UK business. As a Mechanical Engineer you will help develop the team by acting as a mentor or guide to less experienced members within the team.

About You

You will be a Mechanical Engineer with design experience in the water industry and be working toward (or already achieved) Chartership with IMechE.

You will be experienced in producing technical specifications, pump sizing calculations, schedules, reports and familiar with collaborative reviews and designs of solutions.

You will be able to provide engineering input to collaborative design outputs, such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.

You will understand how water and wastewater treatment processes operate and be experienced in assessing existing site infrastructure to develop and deliver the mechanical design.
