Job Description:
Apex Systems, a World-Class Technology Solutions Provider, is currently
hiring a Functional QA Tester, for a growing client. Ideal candidates will

contacted.The Functional QA Tester will be responsible for creating and
executing detailed test scripts to validate the functionality of in-house
applications by rigorously evaluating functionality success criteria,
identifying, and documenting bugs or issues, and ensuring software meets
quality standards. Employees will be required to obtain/maintain a Public
Trust Clearance. Position: Functional QA TesterDuration: 6+ monthsPay
Rate Range: $35-45/hr Location: 100% remote US, EST/CST hours
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCreates and executes test plans and test
cases within an agile development lifecycle.Is an active participant in all
agile ceremonies, provides feedback and asks for clarification on stories
being sent to QA.Follows all quality standards, procedures and methodologies
as defined by lead.Provide feedback to improve test execution and tracking for
continuous improvement.Review the architecture and designs of systems and
features, and actively engage with Business Analysts and
Developers/Engineers to ensure the soundness of proposed
solutions.Exceptional tester with the desire to learn and grow in all things
QA.Work with stakeholders and other test teams to ensure proper test plan is
in place and provide feedback for priority of defects.Support UAT activities
where requested and appropriateGo-getter attitude that isn't afraid
to speak up and come up with creative testing solutions. REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONSSkills/Abilities and KnowledgeStrong communicator (written
and verbal).Self-starter, self-motivated, driven individual.Exceptional
attention to detail to meticulously test and spot discrepancies or bugs in
software functionality.Ability to write clear and comprehensive test scripts
based on User story/Success Criteria requirements.Proficient in Microsoft
Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)Capable of documenting and
visualizing workflow and procedures to aid in identifying key software
development requirements, user stories, and testing areas.Skilled in
performing research and analysis to support project requirements gathering,
including detailed note taking and aiding in requirement
clarifications.Critical thinker, ability to work with key stakeholders and
maintain positive attitude.Strong organizational skills.Good understanding of
quality assurance process, tools, and methodologies.Creative solving of
technical problems to ensure the ability to translate technical requirements
into test plans.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience
working with an Agile development team is required.Must have at least 7 years
of professional/relevant experience.Experience with Appian, ServiceNow,
