Engineering a world of possibilities We are seeking a high production
professional Online Learning Experience Designer to work with our team in the
design and development of online professional education short courses. The
goal is to create rich learning experiences that provide a coherent course of
study for learners to acquire knowledge, skills and competencies in an
effective and appealing manner. The Online Learning Experience Designer will
take content provided by Subject Matter Experts in STEM fields and flesh out
the learning experience. There is support for media development,
copyright, assessment development, and guidance across the builds.
Flexible work arrangements may be considered but are not guaranteed for this
position.
This position is temporary, non-benefited. The term will be from six months
to one year.

Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinates instructional design projects to create engaging learning
activities from inception to completion including, but not limited to:
Work with provided content to organize and build a self-study or facilitated
online course.
Ensure the course is cohesive and provides the opportunities for the learners
to achieve the Learning Outcomes (predominately at the apply level or higher)
Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished
product. Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
Designs and produces learning materials in a variety of formats including
print, graphics, audio, video, animation and multimedia to support
teaching, learning, and college information needs.
Ensures courses meet or exceed set standards related to accessibility and
copyright
Uses data to refine courses to ensure they provide rich learning experiences
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in instructional design, educational technology,
curriculum and instruction, or similar
Experience in instructional design and online learning experience design
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
Proven experience in interpreting learning analytics and data to better inform
processes around content, course, and program creation.
Proven experience in lesson and curriculum planning
Basic HTML programming knowledge
Knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management
System (LMS)
Visual design skills (e.g., Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and
ability to storyboard
Proven record of managing a productive work schedule including managing
multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, professional, verbal, and written
communication skills and the ability to relate not just with faculty, staff
and students, but also with external audiences (e.g., media,
vendors, guests, A
Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video
scripts
Desired Qualifications:
At least three years of online learning support experience in higher
education; knowledge of ADA and Web accessibility;
Knowledge of learning theory, and adult learning models; knowledge of
inclusive teaching approaches to support and encourage engagement from diverse
learners;
Experience with at least one LMS, Zoom, Adobe Creative Suite,
audio/video editing and production, and/or mobile learning technologies.
Salary and Benefits
$66,400 to $85,000 annual salary

potential new employees.
