(View all jobs) Port Washington, WI The General Laborer/Facilities employee is responsible for the cleaning, basic lawn care, and snow removal operations at the Port Washington and Grafton production facilities in accordance with company policies and procedures. The General Laborer/Facilities employee is self-motivated, reliable and can multi-task in a fast paced environment. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior manufacturing and janitorial experience preferred. Capability to lift 50 lbs with regularity and up to 70 lbs occasionally. Valid driver's license required. RESPONSIBILITIES Operates all equipment in a safe manner and uses safe work habits. Maintains a safe and clean working environment including complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains the cleanliness of the production facility, warehouse, and exterior of the building including picking up miscellaneous trash, banding, or other debris for both Port Washington and Grafton, Wisconsin facilities. Empties garbage cans around the facility with regularity and performs recycling activities for cardboard. Performs lawn care and landscaping duties in warmer months while shoveling snow, salting, and operating the snow plow on the company vehicle during winter months. Monitors toilet paper, paper towel and soap levels in the rest rooms and replaces as necessary. Monitors inventory of cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towel and soap, reordering as needed. Sets up for training, events, and meetings according to requested specifications. Utilizes the floor sweeper, vacuum cleaner, broom, lawn mower, snow shovel, snow plow on the company vehicle, and bathroom power washer. Willingness to cross train and perform the work of other job tasks when necessary. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and reach above the shoulders. Regularly required to sit and move from place to place. Will frequently listen and use hands to finger, handle or touch. Ability to see both closely and at a distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to lift 50 lbs with regularity and up to 70 lbs occasionally. Operate the floor sweeper, vacuum cleaner, broom, lawn mower, snow shovel and snow plow on the company vehicle. Valid driver's license required to operate the company vehicle and for travel between the Grafton and Port Washington facilities. Regular and reliable attendance. Exposure to noise, sparks, smoke, fumes, and chemicals in a production environment. NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Willingness to train or work during hours outside of regularly scheduled shift as necessary.
