Summary
The Mechanic Process diagnoses processing equipment problems, repairs minor and major breakdown of processioning equipment, performs preventative maintenance items, improves line efficiencies and ensures all equipment is in safe working condition.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair problems.
Practice preventive maintenance by continually checking equipment for signs of malfunctions.
Assist supervisor in compiling a list of maintenance repairs needed and request necessary parts to perform such jobs.
Typical Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
AAS in Industrial Maintenance (or equivalent), or 2 years’ experience in facility or plant maintenance
Relevant Experience
Good knowledge of computer systems
Experience with troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems
Prior experience in a processing environment
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
Required Certifications
Available to work 12 hour night shifts (7pm to 7am) and overtime shifts as needed
Must be able to perform activities such as walking, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, stair and ladder climbing on a daily basis
Must be able to lift a case of French fries – maximum 40 lbs.
