Job Description:A former nursing student who has completed an accredited
nursing program and is pending nursing licensure. All individuals hired into
this position would be expected to obtain nursing licensure within six months
of hire and transition into a new graduate nurse resident position, as
available, for the next available nurse residency cohort after licensure.
If a Graduate Nurse does not obtain nursing licensure within six months of
hire, an extension of employment in this position requires the approval of
the hospital CNO.
Works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse except as noted in
addendum

Unit Information:
The Neuro/Trauma/Stroke unit specializes in the care of patients with
neurological issues. We provide inpatient care for multiple diagnoses
including stroke, head injury, spinal cord injury, seizures, post-op
spinal surgeries, developmental delays, drug/alcohol withdrawal,
multi-trauma and general medical/surgical patients. We offer multiple levels
of patient care including acute care and ICU stepdown (intermediate) care.

Graduate Nurse

Entry Pay: $26.50
Successful completion of a recognized and accredited Nursing/RN education
program (education will be verified).
Registered Nurse
Entry Pay: $34.64 - $52.52
Current RN License in state of practice.
Licensed and Unlicensed RN
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
RNs with less than 12 months of working experience as an RN prior to joining
Intermountain must obtain their BSN within five years of their start date
Physical Requirements:Ongoing need for employee to see and read
information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify
equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care
providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally
communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms,
needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency
