About the role:
As a Buyer/Planner , you will be responsible for supporting all manufacturing, aftermarket, and service operations by ensuring that all necessary parts and materials are available for use when required, at the best possible total cost and the required quality level. You will follow Procurement Best Practices, Programs, and Procedures in a dynamic, product and project-based, custom-engineered environment. Additionally, you will manage sales order release and fulfillment based on customers’ requirements and serve as the main contact for Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and Logistics.
This is a fully onsite role to be based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
In this role, you will:
Maintain accurate purchasing information for all production components: lead-time, pricing, inventory stocking levels, country of origin etc.
Maintain/review inventory levels for standard components
Evaluation/action of purchasing reports to support production timelines: MRP/PRP; expediting, rescheduling and cancellation messages
Processing orders for miscellaneous supplies to support other business team needs
Are you qualified? The essential requirements of the job include:
Demonstrated experience with ERP, Excel, Supply Chain Management Tools with a strong analytical mindset required
Proven experience with Inventory Management (including Kanban), Supplier Management and Logistics required
Success managing competing priorities with strong continuous improvement and problem solving skills
Bachelor’s degree on Logistics, Engineering or Management is referred

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $73,000.00 - $82,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
