Robert Bosch Fuel Systems, LLC, located in Kentwood, MI, is a precision metal machining manufacturing plant that manufactures and re-manufacturers large engine diesel fuel systems. Robert Bosch Fuel Systems is part of the Bosch Powertrain Solutions division and is a worldwide leader in diesel injection technology.
Performs routine and emergency mechanical repairs including: preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting equipment problems, repairing equipment and installation of equipment.
Diagnose machine malfunctions and difficulties, plan and implement actions necessary to return equipment to operation and prevent future breakdowns.
Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics and machine manuals in order to perform safe and effective repairs.
Performs skilled operations such as fitting and aligning of bearings, spindles and shafts. Fits, aligns and calibrates measuring devices and feeding mechanisms.
Performs machine tool and processing equipment installation and relocation efforts.
Assists other maintenance team members in meeting requirements.
Serves as a resource to production, engineering and other plant personnel.
Maintains and improves knowledge and skill requirements in all maintenance required trade areas. Maintains user knowledge of tools, testing, equipment, measuring instruments, conveyance and material handling equipment.
Update data bases and retrieve information from computer systems.
Completes appropriate paperwork, machine documentation and preventative maintenance records. Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment.
Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and guidance.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Has or is able to obtain a Journey Card, or completion of of U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate in Mechanical trade (Machine Repair), or six (6) years of documented experience in a Mechanical trade.
