Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Operations Leader to oversee and lead production efforts across multiple sites and strategic external partners. This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of high-volume production for a key military customer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage manufacturing operations across multiple sites and strategic external partners to meet production targets and customer requirements.

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety across all production sites.

  • Apply FLIGHT DECK fundamentals in setting up the operating cadences, daily management and problem solving.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, and quality, to ensure seamless production processes.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production capacity and meet high-volume demands.

  • Establish critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

  • Foster strong relationships with external partners to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.

  • Manage budgets and resources to achieve cost-effective production while maintaining high standards of quality.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards.

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities to Production Integrated Project Team (IPT).

  • Travel up to 50% (as needed).

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field (or high school diploma / GED with at least 14 years of experience in manufacturing leadership)

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing leadership

  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain clearance.

  • Experience establishing and running high volume production lines.

  • Proven track record of leading and managing production across multiple sites.

  • Experience with strategic planning and execution.

  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to influence and lead across a matrix organization.

  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing Assembly (DFMA).

  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Knowledge of GE Aerospace's FLIGHT DECK Lean operating model.

  • Experience working with military or defense customers.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards in the Aerospace sector.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
