We have a great Quality Engineer opportunity in our Great Barrington, MA
location. This position is responsible for the quality of the laminated
product produced on the Great Barrington Laminator, reporting the
necessary quality metrics, leading quality complaint investigations, and
driving the continuous improvement of the laminating process. This
position will play a key role in site leadership through the engagement
of manufacturing employees by providing visible support, fostering open
communications, coaching, and development in a quality conscious
environment resulting in a benchmark operations culture.
Responsibilities and Expectations: - Provide leadership to manufacturing
employees by being visible, clear in communicating relevant information,
and coaching to drive employee performance. - Accountable for
maintaining accurate quality metrics and concise, professional
communication with our internal and external customers. - Drive
continuous improvement of site procedures and processes to drive lower
customer complaints, higher efficiencies, and lower costs to the
business. - Train and assist in the development/onboarding plans of new
hires. - Analyze opportunities to improve quality and yield by engaging
employees through continuous improvement activities. - Create and
maintain a culture of respect, professionalism, and cooperation among
the team. - Participate in the development and implementation of the
cost savings program. - Participate in the development and
implementation of the capital project program. - Administer the Proficy
Quality Control program. - Maintain and calibrate all necessary testing
equipment, product specification process, and non-conforming product
management. Competencies: - Demonstrated leadership experience. - Highly

reporting environment. - Ability to develop and execute strategic
improvement plans. - Demonstrated ability to positively engage employees
toward completing tasks and goals. - Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to coach employees through challenges. - Collaborative and
systematic problem solving focusing on mistake-proofing and engineered
solutions. - Computer skills necessary to administer quality control
software (Proficy), run quality analytics, and maintain quality
spreadsheets. Education & Experience: - College degree in engineering,
management, or manufacturing fields. - 5+ years of experience in the
quality field, preferably in manufacturing. - 3+ years of experience in
