Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following job duties are established to outline the basic duties and
responsibilities of the above captioned position. To perform this job
successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily.
Supervision/Workflow (30%):
Directly supervises Family Time Center staff as assigned and directs their
work activities ensuring a high level of performance and compliance with
County, State and Federal rules and regulations.
Develops and monitors standards for quality and quantity of work performed
by the Family Time Center staff using professional standards set primarily
though state rules, statues, and regulations.
Creates opportunities to develop professional growth and activities that
develop or improve skills by strengthening employee satisfaction and value.
Addresses employee concerns and resolves problems in collaboration with
Department Administration and County Human Resources.
Interviews, selects, supervises, evaluates, and correctly assigns
staff according to Weld County policies and procedures.
Regularly appraises employee performance using information gained through
Trails, client feedback and observation.
Meets bi-weekly and/or more frequently if required and/or needed with
assigned staff to discuss performance, productivity, and efficiency.
Assists in developing educational and professional development
opportunities for staff to encourage professional growth that improves skills
and strengthens employee satisfaction and value.
Addresses employee concerns and resolves problems in collaboration with
Department Administration and County Human Resources.
Program Oversight (35%):
Initiates and participates in regular communication between the Family
Time Center staff and all Child Welfare employees.
Continually works to develop protocols that will effectively and
efficiently improve communication, expectations and understanding of the
Family Time Program, both internally and externally, throughout the community.
Develops and seeks opportunities to educate Department employees,
community partners, the Courts, Foster and Kinship providers and families
regarding family time and parenting programs provided by the Family Time
Center
Collaboration (20%):
Participates as a member of the Child Welfare supervisor team, working
collaboratively to assure a quality continuum of services for families.
Facilitates RED Team and case transfer meetings.
Actively participates in Family Team Meetings, Team Decision Making
Meetings, and other meetings for cases as needed.
Develops, implements, and evaluates policies and procedures to ensure
high productivity and efficiency. Provides after hours supervisory
consultation surrounding safety of child/youth on nights and weekends as
needed
Seeks out and actively participates in committees, workgroups and
community organizations that are pertinent to current topics or events.
Develops and maintains working relationships with community resources for
collaboration and the efficient and effective coordination of services.
Other Duties as Assigned (5%):
Follow policies and procedures, the Weld County Code of Conduct and
adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines and appropriate release of
information outlined in both.
