JOB REQUIREMENTS: Provides support for Police Department technology
systems and related components. Interacts with PC users providing
first-line technical support resolving software, hardware, and system
problems. Installs, configures, and troubleshoots software and hardware,
basic network concepts, supporting new technologies, repairing
workstations and performing upgrades. Keeps records of repairs and
fixes. Reports reoccurring issues to management. Performs other duties
as assigned ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: High school
diploma or equivalent. Currently enrolled in college or technical
college and pursuing a degree in Information Technology or Computer
Science, or other related field, or recent completion of a degree in one
of these fields. Valid driver\'s license and a good driving record
Knowledge of computer operating systems, networks, hardware, software,
and IT components. Knowledge of internet security and data privacy
principles. Basic understanding of computer and network issues with
troubleshooting skills. Skill in problem solving and interpersonal
communication. Skill in organization and time-management. Ability to
proficiently utilize a computer and the required software. Ability to
communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to
establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and
the public. Ability to work the required hours of the position.
