recovery. Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated,
abandoned or just need help developing the skills to live successfully.
Family Services has an opening for a part-time Youth and Family
Specialist within the SELF (Support, Education, Life Skills, and Family)
regional concept serving Brown County for 30 hours per week. This
individual will provide hands-on structure and supervision, skill-based
activities, life skills education, parenting education, and recreational
activities to adults, families, and at-risk adolescents within their
homes, schools, and community settings to reach their identified goals.
The work with the SELF population requires some flexibility as there
could be a variety of hours to meet the service needs of our clients,
which includes some weekend and evening hours. This position is based
out of our Green Bay office. Knowledge of family dynamics, abuse,
neglect, criminality, and social dysfunction is required. Qualified
candidates will embrace family support concepts and demonstrate an
attitude that is accepting, non-judgmental, and culturally competent.
Successful candidates will respect families of diverse socio-economic
status, race ethnicity and be able to engage them in a dialogue
regarding personal issues. This position requires a minimum of a high
school diploma/GED; a Bachelor\'s degree in Human Services or a related
field is preferred. 1+ years of experience working with at-risk youth is
also required. A valid Wisconsin Driver\'s License with a reliable
personal vehicle, required auto insurance limits, and acceptable driving
record requirements are also required for this position. Bilingual
