TITLE : Senior Engineer

Duties : Perform high level engineering analysis, design or re-design, validation and troubleshooting of complex electrical/electronic systems for heavy duty machines. Perform complex and accurate calculations, analysis and investigation according to Oshkosh engineering standards and processes. Provide technical electrical expertise for prototype, pilot or production builds, including resolution of problems in manufacturing. Provide integration and execution support for machine control and embedded systems development. Select and/or design complex electrical components for function, cost, reliability and manufacturability. Responsible for preparation and delivery of plans, designs, computation methods and/or reporting. Research, create, and update standard engineering methodology and procedures, best practices, etc. Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally. This position requires 10% domestic travel and 2% international travel.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field of study and three (3) years of experience as an Engineer or related role where required experience gained.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Also requires experience in the following:

  • Functionality and set up of the ERP system;

  • Ensuring compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs) and overall engineering support;

  • Setting up and conducting design reviews of new products;

  • Performing in-depth review of the Test Incident Report;

  • Work experience in Mathworks, dSPACE or Vector tools;

  • Work experience in heavy-duty vehicle CANbus architecture; and

  • Embedded software development experience using C/C++/C# or Python.
