Job Duties:
- Supporting production, maintaining, troubleshooting and improving equipment.
- Cleaning, Organizing and running errands
- Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
- Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
- Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs
- Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
Required Basic Skills:
- Must have driver's license and be insurable
- Mechanical aptitude and proficient in using hand tools
- Understanding maintenance dynamics
- Be comfortable with using a computer for data entry tasks
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be able to work across multiple shifts to reduce downtime of production equipment
Knowledge of or able to quickly learn:
- Become certified to operate a forklift, scissors lift and an articulating arm lift
- Machine Setups
- Understand and follow all safety and OSHA regulations
- Routine maintenance for air tools, grinders and other handheld tools
- Perform basic pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs
- Perform routine PM servicing of all machines in the shop
- Perform routine PM servicing of all facility related equipment
- Perform basic electrical and plumbing tasks as well as troubleshooting these areas
- Support and assist OEM technicians and subcontractors when needed
Physical Abilities
- Walk and stand for extensive periods
Ability to move with coordination and dexterity
- Able to work in tight areas and awkward positions
- Possess manual dexterity to use tools
- Climbing ladders, stairs, be comfortable working at heights occasionally
- Average daily lifting of 30 lbs., ability to lift to 70 lbs. on a regular basis, occasional lifting to 90 lbs., possible lifting over 90 lbs. with assistance as necessary
