RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working from schematics, diagrams, and/or written or verbal instructions to assemble and test RF circuits and systems

  • Assisting in the design, construction, testing, and debugging of test equipment

  • Setup, maintenance, and calibration of an RF test racks and benches

  • Perform characterization of filters and similar RF networks using VNA

  • Soldering components on a PCB using a microscope when necessary

  • Tuning of circuits to optimize circuit performance and meet customer specifications

  • Collecting, filtering, and documenting large amounts of data

  • Assisting in determining methods or actions for continued quality improvement

  • Interpret and analyze measurements in various formats (e.g. s-parameters, insertion loss, gain, current, output power, linearity, etc.) to determine accuracy and precision of collected data

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience is required

  • At least three (3) years of experience performing RF engineering technician support

  • Basic understanding of electronic component operation

  • Basic understanding of theoretical RF concepts such as S-parameters, impedance matching, transmission line impedance, and electromagnetic fields

  • Proficiency in the use of computers and Microsoft Office applications like Teams, Outlook, Excel

  • Attention to detail is required

  • Good motor skills are critical when working with small components

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Solid interpersonal skills

  • Self-starter that can work with little instruction on daily work and general instructions on new work

  • Team player

  • Semiconductor device testing experience is a plus
