The Opportunity

Black & Veatch’s Global Advisory organization provides strategic and digital transformation consulting services to the power, energy, gas, and water sectors. We have an immediate need for a professional with Business Development capabilities and functional / technical industry expertise and experience with Enterprise Asset Management (Asset Management, Work Management & Supply Chain). As the Principal, Enterprise Asset Management and Supply Chain, you will contribute to identifying Enterprise Asset Management client opportunities and proposing of BV services. You will function in a lead role in the delivery of Enterprise Asset Management projects and manage the client engagement while developing, documenting, and implementing new offerings and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use personal network to identify potential clients for BV’s Enterprise Asset Management and Supply Chain solutions

  • Lead business development efforts for Enterprise Asset Management and Supply Chain solutions

  • Lead and manage Enterprise Asset Management and Supply Chain transformation projects for Gas & Electric Utilities

  • Manage project engagement issues

  • Manage client expectations within defined scope of engagement

  • Utilize Enterprise Asset Management and Supply Chain knowledge to produce work products & solutions on system implementation projects

  • Serve as an Enterprise Asset Management and Supply Chain solutions architect

  • Assist BV in enhancing existing offerings

  • Collaborate with BV Teams to create new offerings

  • Develop, present, and defend conclusions, recommendations, and implementation plans

  • Recommend appropriate resources based on the phases of an engagement.

  • Delegate and manage work to assigned team members

  • Transfer capabilities, and skills to improve others’ knowledge and skill levels

  • Enhance established working relationships with team members and management from within the client’s organization

  • Contribute to quality review on own engagement

  • Outline specific performance measures, targets, and goals to articulate the business case for realized efficiencies or added value

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.

  • Has managed significant engagements.

  • 10+ years in a business/consulting environment. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the utility industry – one or more of the following domains: Electric Generation/Transmission/Distribution, Gas Transmission/Distribution, Renewables

  • Knowledge of the principles of Asset Management

  • Experience providing advisory services in the functional areas of Asset Management, Work Management and Supply Chain

  • Knowledge of one or more EAM tools – examples include Maximo, Hexagon (Infor), KloudGin, IFS, SAP

  • Ability to communicate across organizational boundaries and organizational levels
