Overview
Merrick is seeking a Civil Engineer l with 0-4 years of Civil Engineering
experience for our Greenwood Village, CO office. On a case by case basis,
Merrick offers a hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work from
home and in the office.
Typical salary range for this position is $72,000.00 - $80,000.00.
Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and

Job Description
Position requires professional judgment on details of work and in making
preliminary selections and adaptations of alternatives.
Ability to exercise initiative, judgment and knowledge as required in areas
of responsibility.
Position requires application of standard techniques, procedures, and
criteria in carrying out a sequence of tasks.
Prepare working drawings, details, layouts, surveys, estimates, and
work products.
Receives close supervision on new aspects of assignments as required.
Supervisor will be available to screen assignments and to suggest techniques
and procedures to be used on non-routine work.
Must be capable of performing independent design tasks and organizing drawings
while receiving limited supervision after receiving initial instructions from
supervisor.
Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of broader
assignments of experienced level person.
May be assisted by other technicians or administrative personnel.
May coordinate with the work of others who assist in specific assignments.
The successful candidate may be required to interface with client, and
Federal, Local and State government contacts on land development and
municipal projects.
Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality.
Some travel may be required.
Required Experience
Degree Requirements: Bachelor of Sciences in Civil Engineering from an ABET
Accredited Program is required.
Fundamentals of Engineering / Engineer- in-Training (EIT) certification
strongly preferred.
Must have zero (0) - four (4) years of experience in Civil Engineering.
GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
Recent experience with Municipal and Land Development work is a plus.
Recent demonstrable experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
Applicable internship experience is a plus.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Physical Requirements
Requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation.
Be able to work in an environment with open discussions and visitors without
getting distracted.
May be required to lift up to 20 lbs.
