OVERVIEW
Merrick & Company is seeking a college or graduate school Geodesy/Survey
student for a paid summer internship for Summer 2025 at our Greenwood
Village, CO office. Imagine working on rewarding client projects and being

The summer internship has a commitment of approximately mid-May through
mid-August 2025.
We will be accepting resumes for this opportunity from approximately September
- November 2024. Resumes will be reviewed as they are received. Interviews
will take place in the Fall/Winter. Offers will be extended in
Winter/Spring. Timeframe subject to change.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Merrick Intern Program will provide an undergraduate or graduate student
an opportunity to gain technical experience in the field of surveying. Our
intern will be exposed to a variety of surveying projects including
Boundary, ALTA, Easement, Right of Way, Topographic and As-built
surveys. These surveys will be based on various methods of data collection
such as GPS, total station, photogrammetry, and laser scanning.
The position requires the collaboration with other disciplines, follow
schedules and budget commitments, work independently, possess good written
and oral communication skills and the ability to problem solve.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must be currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher of undergraduate
degree.
Must be proficient in utilizing AutoCAD.
Basic understanding of survey equipment.
Ability to lift 60 lbs.
Must be prepared to work in extreme weather conditions, i.e., heat,
rain, cold, etc.
Hike to remote locations.
Ability to travel for periods of up to 4 weeks.
Must meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be
insurable under Merrick's insurance carrier.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuing a surveying degree at an A.B.E.T. accredited university.
Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation v8, Bentley InRoads, and
Carlson Survey.
Ability to do survey related research.
