Charter Communications Inc in Greenwood Village, CO seeks Principal Engineer
II to be responsible for overall architecture, health, and ensuring
operations across all tooling managed within the Network Automation Tools
team. This includes ensuring Science Logic and importation of devices,
management of systems, and tuning of events and alarms to ensure monitoring
is successful across Application Platform Services within the Network
Operations Group. Manage load-balancing platforms including F5 BIG-IQ and A10
Harmony to ensure they are performing operationally correctly and ensure
proper automation flows within them. Evaluate new and prospective tools and
automation platforms to determine how they can be integrated within our
network to ensure operational success without causing outages. Responsible for
setting day-to-day strategies as they pertain to automation, applications,
and technology around the Network Automation Tool team initiatives. Routinely
work with vendors and prospective businesses around tools and automation for
strategy, planning, and working through technical issues and blockers,
as well as deploy new architectures across the Data Center footprint. Develop
custom scripts and programs to drive network and system automation across the
platforms managed including Science Logic, Tufin, internally developed
tools, and devices across the network. Mentor both internally and externally
on best practices, configuration, and technical use of tools to ensure
business
Requires: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information
Technology, or a related field. 5 years of experience utilizing each of the
following vendor platforms, Cisco, Arista, F5, A10, and Juniper in
support of network change management; in managing firewalls and security
policies pertaining to network security deployment; managing route/switch
environments both designing and implementing network changes; with Cloud
Compute technologies supporting overall deployment, configuration, and
design pertaining to software support needs; and designing complex network
deployments in Visio and documentation around specifics and technical
requirements. 3 years of experience in managing network monitoring platforms
such as Science Logic, SolarWinds, MRTG, or other network related
monitoring software. *A hybrid (in office and remote) work arrangement is
available.
Salary depends on geography, experience, and education; negotiations
begin at $139,838.
