What You Will Be Doing:

As an Industrial Electrician Helper at Yancey, you will gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade while working alongside seasoned professionals. This role is essential in supporting our mission to provide safe and reliable electrical services while developing your skills for a successful career in the industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed and certified electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.

  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively on job sites.

  • Support the team in troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing solutions.

  • Learn about high and low voltage systems and their applications under supervision.

  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.

  • Participate in training sessions to enhance your technical knowledge and skills.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.

    Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner.

  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.

    Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should have proven experience as an electrician and hold a valid state electrician's license. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to take direction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Completion of an electrical trade program preferred.

  • 1+ year of commercial or industrial electrical experience.

    Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and components.

  • Bending conduit/EMT.

  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment used in the trade.

  • Strong willingness to learn from experienced electricians and follow instructions diligently.

  • Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.

  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of construction site work.
