The BOM Coordinator will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate bills of materials. This role will work under the direction of a supervisor and in conjunction with procurement, engineering/product development, and SPEC teams to ensure BOM accuracy. The expectation of this role is to work within a cross functional team to create accurate BOMs to meet the Business's needs and drive growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Review all new sales orders for accuracy. Create and Maintain bill of material for each Production unit. Process and Create bills of material for ECR procedure. Process change orders and update bills of material. Create and Maintain Manufacture Orders Work with Scheduling and Ops teams to prioritize BOM and Materials planning activities. Plan the point of use location for all purchased parts by line segment. Code manufactured parts by bill of material for distribution in manufacturing. Perform Information review at engineering release, comparing SPECs and Drawings to create BOM. Add or change BOM materials as Change orders and production needs are identified. Distribute bill of material changes for units with open work orders Support company's long-range product development goals and objectives through ensuring accuracy in the bills of material. Input and Support changes required to maintain correct bills of materials. Audit production units for accuracy of bills of materials and production usages. Communicate cross functionally to resolve material discrepancies. The above list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake other responsibilities and/or training. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.). Knowledge of MRP, PRP, Quote Writer and database programs is preferred. Solid knowledge of planning process within a manufacturing environment. Working independently in the absence of supervision. Must be able to communicate to various levels of the organization. Strong knowledge of relationships between manufacturing, production planning and sourcing. Highly developed planning, organizing and problem- solving skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Verbal and written communication skills and the ability to perform critical analysis desired. Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
