SUMMARY Responsible for providing guidance and support to the local account management team with the design, implementation and enrollment in voluntary benefits programs within a geographic area. Ensures the successful implementation of voluntary benefits programs for Alliant's Employee Benefits clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Provides guidance and support to local account management teams in designing, implementing and enrolling insureds in voluntary benefits programs. * Gathers client needs and insured population details necessary for the request for proposal (RFP) and request for information (RFI) process. * Responsible for the RFP and RFI process; prepares and submits RFP and RFI documents to multiple carriers, reviews RFP responses and recommendations. * Works with carrier partners to quote voluntary benefits based on clients established or anticipated benefits administration platform. * Partners with the account management team to present plan options and product recommendations to clients. * Responsible for voluntary benefits program full implementation lifecycle; including developing communication collateral, eligibility data interfaces, and online carrier platform access for insureds. * Assists account management team with addressing post-implementation escalated service issues related to the voluntary benefits program. * Serves as resource to region on latest trends related to voluntary benefits programs. * Pursues a program of personal, professional and career development. * Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information). * Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Three (3) or more years of insurance agency or company experience in employee benefits Project management experience preferred Sales, marketing experience preferred Voluntary Benefits experience preferred Valid insurance license (or must be obtained within 90 days of employment) SKILLS Basic insurance benefits knowledge necessary Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail Superior communication and presentation skills Ability to be resourceful and adaptive in an evolving organization Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities efficiently and with clear focus Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others Ability to maintain a strong work ethic and demonstrate a high level of
