Meaningful Work From Day One
Serve as a business partner with the corporation and its operating units within Corporate Accounting, performing financial accounting and analysis, with a focus on accurate and timely results.
What You Can Expect
Oversee financial accounting, reporting, and analysis for corporate groups, including benefits, compensation, legal, and risk management.
Conduct month and year-end accounting and closing activities, including account analysis and reconciliations.
Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and compliance with corporate financial policies.
Use systems like Google, SAP, BW, Workiva, Tableau, and Excel to retrieve data, produce reports, and analyze financial information.
Handle legal fee accounting, including the review of contingent liabilities.
Review contracts and assess contingent liabilities related to risk management.
Manage accounting for various benefits and compensation, including bonus accruals, pension accounting, SERP, deferred compensation plans, 401(K) accrual, and hypo tax accrual.
Assist with accounting and compliance for revenue recognition (ASC606).
Help prepare CECL calculations to estimate and evaluate allowances for doubtful accounts.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, assist with balance sheet reviews, and review journal entries and reconciliations as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table
4+ years of experience in Public or Corporate Accounting. CPA required.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and ability to apply it, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in data analysis, including the ability to validate, analyze, and sort large datasets. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present results clearly and concisely.
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects independently within tight deadlines.
Expertise in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions), and proficiency in Google Slides or PowerPoint.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability to changing work environments.
Strong sense of accountability and ownership.
