Responsibilities This position is an engineering Subject Matter Expert with in-depth knowledge and experience in product design or manufacturing of Data Center / AI Computing Equipment. This role will join or assist business partner in Data Center / AI Computing Product Development, and be the leader in defining Manufacturing Solution which may include Plastic Injection Molding, Matel Stamping, Die Casting, PCBA, System Assembly, Packing, Testing and Reliability and Failure Analysis, Automation and Big Data. Ideal candidate should have exposure in majority of the aspects above while being industry expert on some of them. Job Summary 1.Support or co-develop Data Center / AI Computing Equipment products with business partners / customers.

• Provide design suggestions to ensure functionality, cost effectiveness, and compliance to Data Center / AI Computing industry standards (e.g., ISO13485).

• Provide DFx suggestion covering material selection, plastic and metal parts design, PCBA Layout, Packing design, to enable manufacturability in PCBA Assembly, Test, Quality and Reliability, Automation, etc.,

  2.Leader in defining Manufacturing Solution.

• Partner with Factory Workcell Teams /Functional Teams;

• Select the best suited equipment and set up the most efficient production line;

• Set up manufacturing processes with error-proof mechanism, high Cpk and robustness;

• Support all Customers/Workcells in Data Center / AI Computing Sector from NPI to Mass Production.

• Drive continuous improvement with Lean & Six-Sigma methodology.

  Job Description Appy Digital factory/Big Data/AI concepts in engineering filed. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on highly complex situation / project. Develops innovative, advanced, and often untested design concepts through complex software molding. Support customer in product design, and serve as technical interface to customers. Directs manufacturing in trouble-shooting problems, upgrades, retrofits, set-up, and new solution development. Leads product development / DFx meetings from factory side, and makes recommendations on product design changes to enhance manufacturability. Constantly follow /research new technology trend in the industry, and bring new technology to the project team / factory. Thorough understanding of Jabil Lean Six Sigma tools, projects and processes and ability to incorporate these tools into engineering projects. Lead large, complex projects with broad scope and implications for organization. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Development of Data Center / AI Computing Equipment manufacturing solution typically include, but not limited to:

• Price commitment / Support RF

• Schedule commitment

• Hardware description

• Software description

• Documentation package

• Specification of Data Center / AI Computing product Test / Validation criteria

• Specification of required customer deliverables.

• Product DFX(DFA, DFM, DFT, DFQ, etc).

• Product VAVE project.

  Continuous improvement of core competency:

• Participation in the capability core competency improvement program.

• Participation in the effort to improve engineering tools and systems.

• Drive Jabil’s vendors to constantly improve products and services.

• Learning to solve problems outside of the areas of proficiency.

  Industry recognition (Preferable):

• Active membership in two industry recognized professional organizations.

• Published articles in at least one recognized professional industry magazines, periodicals, journals, or websites.

• Speak at a minimum of one industry recognized seminars, conferences, or consortiums.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor of Science / Engineering Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent; Master Degree preferred; and more than eight years of related experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public, in English. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of 2D and 3D geometry and trigonometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to walk, and to lift and carry PC’s and equipment weighing up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and use of computer monitor screens a great deal of time. TRAVEL Travel may be required for customer support, training, optical solution deployment, and to achieve many other Jabil business goals. Travel may be international. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Individual’s primary workstation is located in the office area, with some time spent each day on the manufacturing floor. The noise level in this environment ranges from low to moderate.
