This position is for a Production Planning Clerk with a company in Gulfport, MS.
Position Overview: Seemann Composites, Production Planning Clerk is responsible for supporting the coordination and expediting of work and materials within or between departments of Seemann Composites according to the master production schedule. Duties include reviewing and distributing Manufacturing Inspection Procedures (MIP) to the production floor and monitoring the workflow of each until work is complete and components are shipped. The Production Planning Clerk will support all departments through the distribution of material, stock requisitions inputs, kitting and updating the MIP Tracking log and any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: Retrieve all executed Stock Requisitions and input them into the Deltek Cost Point Material Control System. As required, distribute Manufacturing Inspection Procedures to the Production Team Leads. Collect all completed Manufacturing Inspection Procedures and update MIP Tracking Log. As directed by the Production Planning Team, support the movement and kitting of all materials needed to support each programs fabrication schedule. Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands. Support the planning of production commitments and timetables for business units, specific programs, and/or jobs, using sales forecasts. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a plus. More specifically, Microsoft Excel and Word. Display outstanding leadership skills and communication Skills. Strong Organizational and problem-solving Skills. An ability to work individually or as part of a team. Attention to detail. Competent keyboard skills. Good reading and writing skills. Experience operating forklifts and translation equipment.

Essential Physical Requirement: Working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, you will be walking, standing and engaging in movement throughout the day, and occasionally to frequently be required to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Due to a large variety of job duties (both routine and non-routine), certain duties also may involve, a variety of physical activities including bending, stretching, lifting, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms above shoulders and head, standing working in enclosed areas, climbing stairs or ladders, and operating heavy equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment can vary but noise is usually low to moderate. You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety gloves, hearing protection, a respirator or dust mask, protective footwear and protective clothing or uniforms. Work may be performed in cold and/or hot temperatures and the environment can be dusty. Physical requirements further include the ability to engage in productive collaborative communication with co-workers and work may need to be performed during non-standard hours, including nights and weekends. At times, the ability to work overtime also may be required but it is not usual.
