Job Overview:
The Associate Civil/Structural Designer utilizes CAD systems in the production of basic civil/structural design drawings for heavy industrial/ oil & gas type facilities. Maintains and promotes a focus on McDermott’s end product whether engineering, fabrication or construction.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Modeling & drafting of various drainage structures including trenches, culverts, manholes, headwalls, sumps, and outfalls
Modeling & drafting of site earthworks including rough grades, final grades, retention structures, and storm protection structures
Preparation of various civil plans, profiles & details
Compiling, tracking & trending of material quantities
Modeling & drafting of roads, heavy haul, and access ways
Travels to attend meetings, training and site verifications
Work is performed in construction site environments
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Should have worked on 3D environment e.g. SP3D/ PDS/ PDMS, drawing preparation and checking, extraction of MTO
Good communication skills (verbal & written)
Good knowledge of Onshore structures
Can work independently
Good understanding on O&G domain
Experience in Structural members
Relevant engineering diploma / ITI draftsmanship in Civil engineering or equivalent or higher with 6+ years of experience
