The team you will be a part of
The Audit team develops, plans, and evaluates internal audit programs for the organization's accounting and statistical records and the activities of various departments to ensure compliance with the organization's policies, procedures and standards. Prepares reports for management on the results of audits, providing recommendations on improvements.
This role in summary
Responsible for delivering the Internal Audit Department’s mission, objectives and activities. This would include assisting in and preparing audit plans, participating in assigned process studies, driving data analytics and contributing to periodic stakeholder reporting processes. Cross regional opportunities to participate in Global and Local audits will be provided.
Your responsibilities will include
Assist in completion of Whirlpool Sarbanes Oxley 404 obligations, performing and documenting process walkthroughs and control testing.
Assist/prepare audit planning memorandum and prepare/tailor audit programs. Utilize data analytics to assess risk and develop audit procedures.
Perform fieldwork in accordance with the approved audit program and timelines. This will generally include identification and testing of internal controls, analytical review, and substantive testing.
Prepare concise & effective written reports, identify deficiencies and make practical recommendations for corrective action.
Participating in assigned process studies/projects, identifying process improvement suggestions and assist in preparation of standard operating procedures
Interface with the business for follow up for implementation of the recommendation and providing support for the same.
Prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks/deadlines while dealing with ambiguity
Demonstrating awareness of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing as promulgated by the Institute of Internal Auditors
Demonstrating the ability to research issues, trends, etc. via external sources
Contribute to periodic Audit Committee reporting process
Contribute to the Data analytics program of the function And most important – be a change agent!
Minimum requirements

Qualifications: Qualified CA/MBA/CFA is highly preferred with 3+ years of experience into Audit and Compliances, Data Analytics, SOX
Analytical Tools Exposure: Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI etc
Personal Credibility: Quality in work, ensuring rigor and consistently achieving great results
Business Acumen: Exposure to similar external processes and their best practices, lean certification or similar accreditation
Thought Leadership: Value for the work and deliverables
Strategy Execution: Operationalize strategy by facilitating proactive change and removing barriers to execution. Leads operational competencies to enable maximum business impact (innovation, PMR, cost leadership, customer quality).
Initiative: Identifying business requirements or opportunities and taking action before being asked to or required by the situation.
