Management of a team of people leaders and individual contributors to support execution of on-site support (OSS) performance within customer milestones and in alignment with Airbus and Collins practices and procedures
Management of reactivity in alignment with Collins contractual obligations and ensuring continuous improvement
Forecasting, planning, and management of resources to ensure adequate capacity and efficiency with the operational teams of current and upcoming Aircraft
Prepares for and attends Airbus control room meetings, and coordinates as necessary with other OSS departments
Attends regular meetings with external and internal customers, providing escalation and feedback to leadership
Responsible for management and allocation of team vehicles on a weekly basis
Responsible for management of teams tooling
Responsible for adherence to Material Review Board (MRB) process
Reporting to the On-Site Manager, the Operations Leader is responsible for the efficient activity for a team of Team Leaders and Technicians working on the Airbus Final Assembly Line Toulouse, in alignment with RTX Leadership Behaviors.
These duties include but are not limited to:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
People management:
Setting expectations and managing performance/behavior in accordance with RTX policies, leadership behaviors, and local expectations
Regular communication with each direct report, including ongoing coaching, one to one meetings and skip level meetings within the team
Accurately maintaining time and attendance records
Escalation of any people, behavior, performance, and training issues to leadership as appropriate
Redeployment of staff to other priorities to support daily execution as required by business demands
Ensuring team adherence to all company and local security, health, and safety policies
Ensuring the workmanship, processes and methods executed by the team meet quality standards, conform to definition, and meet customer expectation
Ensure all necessary documentation are correct and completed for works carried out by the teams
Accountable for ensuring consistent and accurate updating of Collins database
Ensuring staff skills matrices are up to date, all compulsory training requirements are current, and gaps are reported as appropriate
REQUIREMENTS
University degree in a technical field plus 3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Experienced in effective and positive people management and demonstrated adherence to the RTX Leadership Behaviors
Experience working with Engineering drawings
IT literate – basic understanding of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Up to 15% international travel required
Ability to communicate effectively in English in written and verbal form
Effective verbal and written communication at all levels of organization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to communicate effectively in English and French in written and verbal form
Familiarity accessing and using engineering information from Collins Interiors system (Teamcenter).
Knowledge of MRP systems (SAP preferable)
Completion of industry recognized Health & Safety courses, ideally:
COSHH regulations
Fire Safety
Health & Safety at work
Knowledge of Airbus processes and systems
