Job Description:
Amergis Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilledCertified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team for the2024-2025 school year in Hamlet, NC. As a COTA in a school setting, you willplay a vital role in assisting occupational therapists in implementing therapyplans to help students achieve their developmental and educational goals.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with occupational therapists to assess students' needs and develop customized treatment plans.
Conduct therapeutic activities and exercises under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy interventions as necessary.
Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress reports.
Qualifications:
Valid Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in North Carolina.
Experience working in a school setting preferred but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
