Description:
Read and review solar plans as well as utility construction drawings prior to execution of construction and ensure we are building the sites in accordance with those plans. Ensure the team supervisors are executing their duties in accordance with the site plans and utility construction drawings. Implement best practices that promote the balance of quality and speed as well as fall within AHJ requirements, utility guidelines, and NEC Code. Ensure electrical workers are upholding the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards in the field. In construction planning identify areas of risk and ensure we are taking pro-active control measures to keep the work force safe. Supervise the progress of the electrical teams and notify the site superintendent and construction manager if there are delays to planned timelines. Ensure the construction crews are equipped with the proper tools and construction materials to complete the tasks required. If additional equipment, tools, or supplies are required, notify the procurement section via the proper process. Serve as the field expert for electrical construction and be prepared to contribute to project planning, pre-construction meetings, quality checks, and stand for site inspections with the local jurisdiction and utility company.
