JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Director is responsible for the overall management of the clinical functions of the inpatient facility. This includes ensuring compliance with state regulatory requirements, program development, financial management, accreditation standards, program marketing, hiring and supervising staff, and evaluating and developing program policies. Provides supervision and performance review to clinical staff, and coordinates and evaluates all program services. This position will assist in areas of problems solving, conflict resolution, and readiness for State visits.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Supervises all clinical staff activities, which includes monitoring groups, individual therapy, and charting to maintain the highest standards of quality and effectiveness.

  • Acts as the clinical supervisor for counselors. This entails facilitating weekly/biweekly individual and group supervision with each counselor, writing up notes, and assisting counselors in researching and tailoring effective treatments for clients.

  • Works in conjunction with Director of Nursing and Medical Director to provide excellent client care.

  • Works with utilization Review Department to address billing needs.

  • Participates in the recruitment and interview process for clinical staff.

  • Completes performance appraisals for clinical and administrative staff on an annual basis and works with Human Resources on employee performance management throughout the year.

  • Provides for staff development and trainings and monitors the compliance of staff credentialing.

  • Networks with other organizations to increase the referral base.

  • Functions as Leader of multi-disciplinary Clinical Treatment Team.

  • Evaluates quality of program on an ongoing basis and develops cost-effective methods to provide services.

  • Promotes a culture of safety for clients and employees through proper identification, proper reporting, documentation and prevention of medical errors in environment.
