Reference #: 4662987 THE POSITION The Division of Statistical Registries within the Bureau of Health Statistics and Registries is seeking an Administrative Assistant 1 to contribute to its mission of delivering high-quality programs and services. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Your role entails overseeing the processes associated with amending birth registry case records, in addition to formulating policies and procedures. It also includes establishing performance metrics, spearheading initiatives for process enhancement and ongoing quality improvement, and collaborating with the birth registry field program to enhance outreach and educational initiatives.

Your duties will encompass a range of activities aimed at ensuring the effective management of birth registry records, as well as driving improvements in operational efficiency and quality standards. Engaging with various stakeholders to promote educational efforts and outreach will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Limited-term full-time wage position with benefits (Bronze Plan). Duration of employment is approximately six months with possible extension for an additional 6 months. Work hours are Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch, 1st position, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, 2nd position 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This position will have two weeks minimum of mandatory on-site training. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. You would report into the office one day scheduled per month and as needed for training. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high speed internet connection and work from home approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to headquarters office in Harrisburg. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
