DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for the following duties: Overseeing the staff at the UC Service Center, ensuring that they are performing their duties efficiently and effectively. Effective communication is a crucial aspect of this position, both in oral and written form. You will be expected to convey information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders. Conducting research and preparing correspondence and reports. This includes gathering relevant information, analyzing data, and presenting findings in a comprehensive manner. Acting as the liaison for personnel and Employee Relations issues is also a key responsibility. You will be the point of contact for any concerns or queries related to these matters, ensuring that they are addressed appropriately. Interpreting and applying policies accurately. You will need to have a thorough understanding of organizational policies and procedures and be able to apply them consistently. Managing procurement and transactions is another duty associated with this role. This involves coordinating the purchasing process, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and maintaining accurate records. Providing training and guidance to staff members is an essential part of this position. You will be responsible for imparting knowledge and skills to enhance their performance and professional development. Maintaining personnel, building, and equipment files is a crucial administrative task. You will be responsible for organizing and updating these files to ensure easy access and retrieval of information. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships is vital in this role. You will need to collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners to achieve common goals and objectives. Proficiency in utilizing computer systems and standard office equipment is expected. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Work hours are subject to change based on operational need. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time after the successful completion of the required probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
