The Comptroller Operations' Bureau of Quality Assurance is looking for a new, non-supervisory team member ready to take on the versatility involved in supporting financial process improvement.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK This Business Analyst 3 position operates within the Accounting Systems Unit (ASU) of the Bureau of Quality Assurance (BQA) to provide system-based, technical assistance to both the Office of Comptroller Operations (OCO) and agency stakeholders in support of the integrity and timeliness of incoming financial data to the SAP accounting system. The incumbent supports business process evaluation, maintenance, and development related to financial data system processing and business usage. Work is performed within the Department of Human Services (DHS) integrated payment systems, including the Provider Reimbursement Operations and Management Information System (or PROMISe).

Due to the ever-changing nature of business processes, this position balances standard, recurring tasks with a rotation of new projects and initiatives. The incumbent will have the opportunity to assist in the change process for enterprise payment systems to improve fiscal accountability in alignment with the OCO mission of ensuring fiscal integrity and providing quality financial services to protect the public interest. This includes working collaboratively as a coordinator or consultant, and independently with analytic or procedural tasks.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Alternate work schedule (AWS) is available upon completion of the probationary period. Telework: You may be expected to work from home (telework) full-time, with occasional in-office days when work dictates such requirements. Please keep in mind that while this is a full-time telework position, that can change at any time at the Governor's discretion. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Business Analyst 2; or Six years of business process analysis experience; or Two years of business process analysis experience and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
