About the Automotive Technician Position
As an Automotive Technician with MPC Bus Corp, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing paratransit vehicles to ensure safety and reliability. Key responsibilities include:
Performing preventive maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections.
Diagnosing and repairing brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
Completing work orders accurately and efficiently.
Assisting with mobile emergency repairs as needed.
Automotive Mechanic Qualifications
Valid driver’s license required – must be willing to obtain a CDL while employed (training provided!)
3 or more years of experience in automotive or diesel maintenance & repair OR equivalent technical school training
Must have a personal mechanic’s tool set
Willingness to participate in ASE certification program – training, testing, and bonuses provided!
Subject to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive employee (DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason).
